30 Day Song Challenge - Day 7

Day 07 - A Song That Reminds You Of A Certain Event - Paramore - Brick By Boring Brick
Okay so, Thursday 17th December 2009. Paramore live in the Brighton Centre. <3
I've literally never been so f*cking excited for a gig. You Me At Six was the support band. It couldn't gave got any better. To top it off, it snowed.

Anyways, me and Hannah got all ready and went to get the bus to town. It was absolutely FREEZING so we were rushing to get to the bus stop. We were late and panicking and just generally in a flap. So I got on the bus, bought my saver ;) sat down. Hannah isn't a bus person so she took longer, asking for a 'ID bus single saver' and I watched her stand there by the driver, look up at me and shout 'WE FORGOT THE TICKETS!' Shock raced through my body and I screamed at her 'GET OFF THE BUS!!!!' So a bus stop FURTHER away from my house we get off and run like we've never run before. Those of you who know me know that I am NOT a runner. So by the time we got back to mine I was ready to throw up. Then we had to run BACK to the bus stop to get another bus. I remember Hannah saying 'At least I got a saver :D'. I just glared at her while my heart raced at an unhealthily fast rate. Anyway, we got there in the end.

You're probably all wondering how I can call this event amazing. To be fair, these minor slip ups happen to me on a regular basis, so I'm used to panicking and forgetting  things and therefore being late. But this song was absolutely immense live. The atmosphere was incredible :O

One more for today...this time I am sorry.

So, thank you to all of the people who follow. Your lives must be as dull as mine if you have nothing better to do than ready this crap. But thanks all the same :)

Today has been pretty unsociable. I should have spent all day ding my coursework, yet I somehow managed to have gotten to 7pm and STILL not have finished. Basically, as Mum is in the land of Amsterdam living on her houseboat for a long weekend, Dad and I have decided to do something nice for her to return to. Yesterday the bathroom ceiling was "repaired". It wasn't like falling down, but it needing sanding and repainting. Anyway, that was done. Then today, Dad and I did a bit of plumbing, that's right, I was plumbing. We fitted a new wall radiator thingy-ma-bob. This took us all day, because my Dad, being the man that he is, decided that the instrustions were "just a rough guideline" and that we "don't need them". Being the woman that I am, I knew this would be trouble from the start. After hours of turning the pressure up and down and filling holes and screwing things and cutting pipes. It was done. Now before you all start, I know how extremely lady-like plumbing is, and what can I say? In my defence, my brother's a giant lazy shit, and my Dad wanted some help. To completely distroy my argument, I kinda enjoyed it.

Anyways, because of today's plumbing session I haven't done my coursework. So I'm caffined up to my eyeballs and am not planning on getting any sleep tonight. Don't expect any cheeryness from me tomorrow motherfuckers.

I had to post this. I'd say I'm sorry for the frequent posting, but I'm not.

I genuinely LOVE this guy. He is so brilliant.
I don't think I could agree any more! I didn't realise someone else felt the same about birds! Watch! (Sorry Charlie, I know how you love your birds, but seriously, they scare the shit out of me).

Okay, I completely understand what he says about animal lovers, and why the fuck no one cares when humans get killed. But you'd be slightly cold hearted if you weren't like "AWWW THE DOG?!"

Just a random post.

Am I the only one who gets genuinely freaked out at the sound of foxes in the street? They sound like ducks. And  the mental image I get freaks the shit out of me. Killer foxes with duck head and wings. OUTSIDE MY FRICKIN' HOUSE! Just putting it out there.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 6

Okay it took me a while to think of one, so don't moan if it's a little random.

Day 06 - A Song That Reminds You Of Somewhere - Nevershoutnever - Can't Stand It
Nevershoutnever were a little obsession of mine this time last year. This song was played an awful lot to be honest. But anyways, in June last year, literally like 2 days after my last GCSE exam I went to France with Hannah and some people from school. Anyway, we got the ferry from Dover to Calais and drove down on a coach to south france. We made a quick stop at a petrol station thingy about an hour and a half into France at like 1.30am. This is the song that was playing on the radio in the shop. And therefore this is the first song I heard in France so it reminds me of France now :L

I'll link it just in case you fancy a listen. That way you don't have to go all the way to youtube and search it. That's how nice I am ;)

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 5

So last night was Comic Relief. Normally I watch it every year with the mother, but she decided she'd be on Amsterdam this year, so I had to record about 8 bloody hours worth of TV for when she's back. So not only was I not out on a Friday night, I was without Comic Relief, and therefore without any entertainment. So I decided to entertain myself.

I decided to bake a cake. And before you all judge me, I'm actually bloody good at it. Anyways, the last 3 or 4 times, all of my chocolate chips sunk. However last night, I tried something different. BAM. No sinking chocolate chips. (Yes that's right, this is what my life has come to).

Anyways, I woke up pretty early today, well, early for me on a Saturday. 10am. The weekend where I have like 3 pieces of coursework due on Monday the weather is LOVELY. I'm not even joking you, the weather hasn't looked this cheerful for so bloody long. So I've come to the conclusion that today will be a FML day. We've also run out of yogurt. So far this day couldn't get much worse. Unless it turned out that I had to donate an organ or a body part. Then it could probably be worse.

So, Day 5...

Day 05 - A Song That Reminds You Of Someone - Taylor Swift - Tell Me Why
Now before you all start getting nosey, I'm not telling you who. I don't even care if it's defeating the point of the question. To be fair, it didn't ask me to say who. But it's pretty obvious that it's negative by the lyrics. It's from a pretty crap time of my life and I suppose it could also count for 'A song that makes you sad', it's not a generally sad song, just in the context of my memories it is. It doesn't sound like an emotional song, but the lyrics for me mean an awful lot.

Anyway, give it a listen if you want. Swift's not everyone's cup of tea, personally, she's my lyrical idol. But hey, each to their own. You may like it. You may not. I don't really care :L

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 3 & 4

Okay, sorry. Been so bloody busy with coursework and parents evening at college.

Day 03 - A Song That Makes You Happy  - Newton Faulkner - People Should Smile More

It's not a song I can listen to to MAKE me happy. Those of you who know me know that when I'm unhappy I can't be doing with really happy stuff. It's unnatural.
However, it is very positive and just generally a nice song. Not everyone's cup of tea I can imagine.

Day 04 - A Song That Makes You Sad - Missy Higgins - Where I Stood

This doesn't make me that sad to listen to, but the lyrics really get to me. Although if you flicked through my ipod almost 3/4 of the songs have lyrics that sum up my life and are pretty depressing. Missy Higgins is one of y favorite artists though. Love her.

I will actually post tomorrow. Promise. I don't have a life anymore so I have nothing better to do, apart from coursework. OH THE THRILLS.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 2

Day 02 - Your Least Favorite Song

Really? I can never just pick ONE. Hmm, I guess the song that instantly comes to mind is George Michael's new one. I kinda don't want to slate it, just because it's for Comic Relief, but honestly, it has to be the worst song I've ever heard. You can't hear the words because it's all like, electrofied or whatever, and it just gives me a headache if I'm honest.

Even though I basically just said it's shit, I'll link it anyway, incase you're lucky enough to have not heard it.

OH. Did I mention that it's called "True Faith". Original. Wonder where he got the name from? -.-

If you actualy just listened to the whole thing. I appologise.

30 Day Song Challege - Day 1

Okay so I have nothing better to post about at the moment, well I could probably rant about a thousand things but it's late, I'm tired and Friends is on so...

Basically you have a question every day, it's not hard to understand really.

Day 01 - Your Favorite Song
I actually hated life when I read Day 1. I have SO many favorite songs and I can never pick just ONE. So I'm just gona post the song that I've been singing the most lately.

Yes I know it's probably quite obvious but yeah, I can honestly never pick a "favorite" song when I have about 300 of them.

Sunday, 13 March 2011

I'm in danger of becomming a compulsive hoarder.

So basically, I hoard objects. Why? I don't know. Now stop before you picture my room being something that resembles this...

Honestly, this makes me feel sick. I'm way to OCD to EVER let my room or living space get like this. I do however keep vast amounts of random, worthless objects. I do it with everything. For example I must have at least three pencil cases full of pens I'll probably never use, Kinder Surprise toys, boxes and little tubs (you know the one's with the good lids that seal well and you can reuse them), clothes I've never worn and clothes that I haven't worn for at least a year or more, old birthday cards dating back to God knows when. The list goes on. I convince myself that these objects may not have a use now, but one day, I may need them. As logical as this is of me, it's just completely unrealistic and quite frankly it means that my room is full of things that I may or may not need one day.

I just can't physically throw potentially usable things away. However, I've been getting pissed off with the fact that I don't have any space in my room. So I finally did it. I got myself some black bags and I sat there ALL day. I literally bagged anything that was useless.

Now this was an extremely painful process, and of course I kept a few sentimental things, but FOUR black bags later and I had finished. This means I can finally paint my room and I've decided to do this in the Easter half term. I also have a desk to do coursework on now, so hopefully I'll do more of that. Pfft.

So this post has mad me look slightly insane and has probably made you think OH DEAR. I did warn you that I was a "crazy, opinionated bitch."

Friday, 11 March 2011

My overdue DVD rental from Miss Ciara Greer.

She hates me for it I know. Like me, Ciara has OCD on her shelves, and DVD’s have a certain order and shelf etc. This, to some, is extremely sad; however, I often receive texts from her about a page and a half long ranting on how her mum has moved a few objects in her room...
"OMFG! Stop changing my room bitch!! Shoes go on the fucking floor, fancy pillow goes on TOP and clothes are FINE on the chair!! If you touch my books or films again I'm not coming back! My room is NOT A MESS, people will not judge you for visible schoolwork! How 'bout I fuck up all your shit so next time you want something it looks like an inquisition hit you had to search so hard! Oh and ... NOTHING GOES ON THE HARRY POTTER SHELF!"

So you can kind of get the idea where this is going. I believe that she lent me Sweeney Todd and Cruel Intentions back in December or November. I still have them. AND I’ve only watched Sweeney Todd, so I guess I’ll write something about that.
I loved it, purely because Johnny Depp is in it. Other than that, it wasn’t too bad. I’d watch it again, so it must have been alright. However, and I honestly didn’t know this, as Ciara failed to mention that it was a friggin’ musical!! So I’m watching the beginning, in bed, with some form of chocolate or sweets or whatever, and I’m rummaging through the packet to get a more desirable flavour of whatever I’m eating, and I hear the most frightful sound. Johnny Depp, with his beautiful face... SINGING. I literally cringed. I honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to watch it, but I continued, in hope that the singing would stop. It didn’t. But somehow I managed to kind of block it out as being cringey and think of it more as part of the story. And then, gradually, I became immune to the cringing and it became normal. Helena Bonham Carter is absolutely amazing in it, although, honestly I think she’s just an amazing actress in general, she never fails to grip you and pull you inside of the story.
I guess more than anything I just found it so bloody violent. I mean, I’ve seen some violent films before, but this was just, different. If you haven’t seen it, don’t let the singing put you off, watch it, it’s good. But just be prepared for a bit of, well, blood. I didn’t expect it, although, also being quite dim I should have realised that it was an 18 for a reason. Perhaps because of the musical twist? Nope, generally because of the blood and violence. Don’t let that put you off either, it’s not THAT bad, just don’t be expecting the sweet story of Edward Scissorhands, (another good film that I recommend).
So Ciara, if you’re reading this, which you probably are seeing as you have so much free time, I will return your DVD’s back to their place on your shelf. However, not yet, as I still need to watch Cruel Intentions, I shall probably do that tonight or at some point this weekend. Also, just to set a bit of shock into your system. I sold Grey’s Anatomy Season 4 and 5 on ebay. I KNOW! THAT’S WHAT MY LIFE HAS COME TO!

Just a quick rant on Charlie Sheen

How often are you supposed to post on these things? I’ll probably do two today, just because I want to write this one now before I forget that I want to quickly rant about something. Generally my rants are full of my opinions. I honestly don’t expect you to agree with them, but feel free to comment your view, I won’t hurt you, (the benefits of internet blogging).
After my successful first blog (by successful I mean, I posted something that was English and didn’t contain any spelling mistakes) I decided to sleep, because well, that’s generally what people do at night. So after waking up, looking in the mirror and scaring the actual shit out of myself because I resembled a cross between Hagrid and the Grudge, I remember reading Lucy’s blog last night and decided to have a quick rant on the current outburst of headlines regarding Charlie Sheen. I was never really a fan of two and a half men and I’ve never really been a fan of Sheen, but I decided to watch a few interviews with the bloke to see what all the fuss is about.
Honestly, I just cannot stand him. He comes across extremely arrogant and seems to just be generally self-absorbed. If he’s clearing drug tests he seriously needs to have a neurological scan because he is insane. When a reporter asks “Are you on any drugs at the moment?” he replied “Yes. I’m only on one drug. It’s called, CHARLIE SHEEN.” I honestly think he should be spending more time at least TRYING to act normal to try and get his kids back. But then I think that their probably better off with their mum than with him and his porn star girlfriends. That’s right, I said girlfriends. I’ve seen him, it’s almost definitely a money thing. There’s no way they can be attracted to his personality or looks, because well, quite frankly his personality sucks and he has no looks. I just generally find him a creepy individual and I don’t understand everyone’s fascination with him all of a sudden, he’s been like that forever. Words cannot describe (well they probably could but I’ve just woken up and I find that this phrase gets me out of having to think of words to describe) how he genuinely angers me. He honestly believes that he is a ‘rock star’ and ‘cool’. Last time I checked a rock star literally defined someone who was a famous singer of rock music. Not some arsehole, who takes drugs, marries like 4 different women and only became famous because of his dad’s career.
Anyway, my 'quick' rant on him is over, he doesn’t deserve anymore attention. I warned you I was opinionated. This is just the start of it. I’ll probably write again later, I guarantee something else will piss me off and I’ll write about it.

And the blogging begins.

I have NO idea what I'm planning on saying. It probably wasn't my best idea to start a blog at this very moment. My head is completely blank and I'm exhausted. Yet here I am, writing a load of rubbish that no one cares about in the hope that someone, somewhere will find me remotely interesting. Any of you that know me will know that when I get something in my head, I'm like a dog with a bone. (This is the part where you all link in some joke about me being a dog). I know, I'm so good that I even provide you with jokes to insult me. Doesn't get much better than that really.

So yeah, I got it in my head, for some strange reason, that I wanted to start a blog. Somewhere for me to write crap online where people will hopefully read it. If people read it. Result. If not. Well, that just confirms the failure that I have always believed myself to be I guess.

I did ponder the idea of a video blog. But seriously, anyone who knows me knows that doing a video blog is literally ASKING for abuse. So I went with the safest option and hid my face behind words. Pussy. I know.

Well this is a good start, four paragraphs in and I'm already running out of things to say. I'm sure my life will become more interesting when I'm not ill in bed and I'll have more to ramble on about. Hopefully.

How am I supposed to end these things? Goodbye? Bit crap to be honest. Ohhh I dunno! BYE.
